1. Salt Lake Staidum
Salt Lake Stadium is a multipurpose situated in Kolkata, India. It is also known as Vivekananda Yuba Bharti Kariangan. It was established in 1984. Initially, it had a Capacity of 110,00 seats which is limited to 68,00 by FIFA. In 1997 it witnessed a Record attendance of 131,781.
Salt Lake Stadium is the home ground of Mohun Bagan, the West Bengal Football team, East Bengal, and the Indian National Football team. In September 2011, a friendly match between Argentina and Venezuela was played here. It was a historic day in the history of Indian football.
Salt Lake Stadium also hosted the farewell match of Oliver Kahn between Bayern Munich and Mohun Bagan.
2. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is a multipurpose stadium situated in New Delhi. It was named after the first prime minister of India. It is a grass stadium that was built in 1982 and presently it has a sitting capacity of 60,254. It is the home ground of the Indian national football team and Delhi football team.
In 1982 and 2009 it hosted the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games respectively. In 2011 it was the main venue for the South Asian Football Federation Cup.
3. Greenfield International Stadium
It is a multipurpose stadium situated in Kerala, India. Greenfield International Stadium is also known as The Sports Hub. This international stadium is used for football and cricket. It was rebuilt in 2015 with a sitting capacity of 50,000 for football and 44,400 for cricket
The 2015 SAFF championship was the first international football hosted by this stadium in which India won the competition beating Afghanistan by 2-1 goals.
4. EMS Stadium
Kozhikode Corporation EMS Stadium is situated in Kozhikode, Kerla with a sitting capacity of 50,000 spectators. It was opened in 1977. EMS stadium is the home ground of Viva Kerala FC and Gokulam Kerala.
EMS Stadium holds various events like the Super Cup, Santosh Trophy, and Sait Nagjee Football.
5. DY Patil Stadium
It is a multipurpose stadium situated in Navi Mumbai. It is primarily a cricket stadium, sometimes which is used for football and music concerts. It was opened in 2008 with a sitting capacity of 45,300. It is the home ground of Mumbai City FC.
6. Birsa Munda Football Stadium
It is situated in Ranchi with a sitting capacity of 40,000. It was opened in 2009. It is the home ground of the Jharkhand football team
In January 2024 Sports Authority of Jharkhand in collaboration with state tourism, art, culture, and youth affairs set up a Central Library at the Football Stadium.
7. Kaloor Stadium
Kaloor Stadium is also known as Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium. It is a multipurpose stadium situated in Ernakulam, Kerala. It was opened in 1996 with a sitting capacity of 80,000, but with the 2017 renovation, it was reduced to 40,000. It has a record of 100,000 spectators in the 1997 football match between India vs Iraq. Kaloor Stadium is the home ground of Kerala Blasters FC and Kochi Tuskers Kerala.
8. Marina Arena
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, also known as Mariana Arena. It is a multipurpose stadium situated in Chennai, India. It was constructed on the location of Madras Zoo. Which is currently located in Vandeleur. Till 1980 is called a Corporation stadium. It was opened in 1993 with a sitting capacity of 40,000 people.
It is the home ground of Chennaiyian FC and Tamil Nadu football club.
9. Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium
It multipurpose sports stadium in Hyderabad. It is also known as Fateh Maidan. It is primarily used for football and cricket. It was established in 1950 and has a sitting capacity of 30,000 people
